Hi, I’m Stephanie from Wollongong, Australia. I studied Environmental Science at the University of Wollongong, and am currently working as Field Staff at the ‘GVI Costa Rica Jalova’ hub, gaining invaluable field experience and contributing to the multiple projects we currently have running.
So far I have been lucky enough to see a wide variety of birds, mammals and reptiles, including sloths, toucans, monkeys, kinkajous, and both green and hawksbill sea turtles; and I am most looking forward to work this season with the leatherback turtle!
I am fortunate enough to be involved in the Jaguar Project, which includes studying both their behavior and abundance in the Tortuguero area. I hope to contribute to the growing database of information and aid our partners, ‘Coastal Jaguar Conservation’, in their efforts to conserve the largest felid species in the Americas.
